Castaneda v. UC Regents


Castaneda v. UC Regents: On behalf of highly qualified African American, Latino, and Filipino American students who were denied admission to UC Berkeley for fall 1998, APALC and other civil rights groups sue UC Berkeley over its admissions policy.  The case settles in 2003 when the university adopts a “comprehensive review” admissions policy.
