In an unbelievable and unconstitutional move, President Trump today issued a Presidential Memorandum requiring the U.S. Census Bureau to exclude undocumented individuals from the count that is used for reapportioning Congressional seats.
Advancing Justice-LA, a non-profit legal aid and civil rights organization serving Asian Americans, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities, today announced its efforts to endorse participation in the Census 2020 by phone, mail, or online amid efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19.

According to population estimates released today by the U.S. Census Bureau, Asian Americans continue to be the country’s fastest growing racial group, now numbering 21.4 million nationwide. In the six years following the 2010 Census, the country’s Asian American population grew 21%; in contrast, the nation’s total population grew less than 5% over the same period. The country added 3.7 million Asian Americans between 2010 and 2016 and 629,813 between 2015 and 2016 alone.
How Asian-Americans vote is often a mystery. That's because small numbers are polled at a time, and surveys are often in English, making it hard to get a clear look at a group that speaks many languages.
