We are a group of youth and parents working with Asian Americans Advancing Justice. We want to build relationships with our community and work together to make sure public education is funded.
On May 14th, Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Los Angeles hosted its annual Family Empowerment Festival at Abraham Lincoln High School, drawing over 800 youth and community members to the Lincoln Heights neighborhood to celebrate the innovative end-of-year capstone projects from our student and community leaders. Attendees included youth and parents representing 13 schools from LAUSD and AUSD and a rich and diverse tapestry of immigrant communities and neighborhoods.
