Advancing Justice – LA seeks to examine philanthropy in the AANHPI community. We hope to illuminate giving trends in the diverse AANHPI community through ground-breaking publications on philanthropy in specific communities and sponsoring related cultural exchanges and convenings. We are currently working on the Global Chinese Philanthropy Initiative (GCPI), which is a bilateral research study that examines the contributions of Chinese and Chinese American philanthropists. The study will examine the giving patterns, motivations, and impacts of American philanthropists of Chinese descent and of philanthropists in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau.
