As part of Advancing Justice - LA’s commitment to strengthening the non-profit sector and Asian American as well as Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander (NHPI) communities, Advancing Justice - LA helps to build the capacity of minority-led organizations both locally and statewide, through partnerships, sub-grants and fiscal sponsorship.
In 2011, as an expansion of Advancing Justice - LA’s existing capacity-building work, Advancing Justice - LA launched a non-profit center, adjacent to its downtown Los Angeles office. The non-profit center provides flexible office and meeting space for non-profit groups as well as training and technical assistance for Non-Profit Center tenants on topics such as board development, budgeting, fundraising and communications.
In 2012, Advancing Justice - LA launched a non-profit organizational development series customized to the needs of our community partners and the diverse individuals who lead them. This training series is hosted by Advancing Justice - LA and incorporates experts from public, private, foundation and commercial backgrounds to invest in building strength and capacity in the non-profit community.
