Statewide Network of Community-based Organizations

In 2010, Advancing Justice - LA convened a statewide network of community-based organizations (CBOs) to educate Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (NHPI) communities about the importance of participating in the Census.  After the Census ended, Advancing Justice - LA has continued to work with the CBO network on related issues, such as educating Asian American and NHPI communities about the importance of the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey, as well as to build the capacity of network members through developing skills, building leadership, and increasing organizational sustainability.  Advancing Justice - LA also engages many network members in other ongoing projects such as citizenship assistance, health care reform outreach and advocacy, and voter education and mobilization.
