In addition to participating in numerous issue and campaign-specific coalitions, Advancing Justice - LA is also a key member of the following coalitions:

Parent Organization Network (PON):  In July 2005, PON began as a collaborative of independent parent organizations in Los Angeles County, to support parent engagement and to develop and implement a common policy agenda to improve educational outcomes especially for students from low to moderate-income communities of color. Its mission is to build a sustainable movement of parent organizations that are connecting, empowering and mobilizing parents to transform schools to ensure that all children have access to a high quality and equitable education.  For more information, contact PON Manager Goldie Buchanan at [email protected]

Asian Pacific American Dispute Resolution Center (APADRC): In 1989, Advancing Justice - LA co-founded APADRC to complement Advancing Justice - LA’s legal service and litigation programs.  APADRC provides mediation and conflict resolution services to the diverse communities in the Los Angeles area, with a focus on Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander populations. www.apadrc.org

API Equality-LA:  In summer 2005, Advancing Justice - LA helped to found API Equality-LA, a coalition of organizations and individuals working to promote marriage equality in the Asian American community.  Since then, API Equality-LA has grown to also include advocacy for the fair treatment of lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in the greater Los Angeles AA and NHPI communities.   www.apiequalityla.org
